 *** The City's first comprehensive plan (put together with lots of help from our smart neighborhood) has been officially presented to Albany Common Council.  They will hold a public hearing on the plan Monday, March 19 at 7 pm in City Hall.  Check it out at

***Get your hair cut for a good cause. Destiny's Hair & Nail Salon, 372 Delaware Ave, as well as several local hair stylists and Team CJ have joined together to bring you the 2nd Annual Cystic Fibrosis Cuts For A Cause on Sunday, March 25
from 10 to 5 pm.  Highly trained stylists will be joining together at Destiny's for this event. For information or an appointment call (518) 462-0226. Walk-ins are also welcome. Men and Children - haircuts $10.00. ***Know a City of Albany young person age 14-18?  The application for the City's summer employment program is up . . .   The registration day is Saturday March 31 from 9 to 3 pm.

***Spring is prime house buying season.  Get smart about it at the free Homebuyer 101 workshop on Tuesday, April 3

***Need some help with your taxes? FREE income tax preparation for people with a household income of less than $50,000. IRS-certified volunteers will be available at the Main Library, 161 Washington, for walk in assistance on Saturdays from 10 to 3 pm until April 14.  Or make an appointment for a Wednesday by calling 427-4303.
