Petition to Restore Pedestrian walkway on the Livingston Ave Bridge

Petition to Restore Pedestrian walkway on the Livingston Ave Bridge

 http://www.ptny.org/advocacy/LivingstonAve/

A group has formed the Livingston Avenue Bridge Coalition (LARBC) to advocate for the re-establishment of the
pedestrian walkway on the Livingston Ave Bridge across the Hudson.

Design discussions for rebuilding the bridge are currently under way, so the time is NOW to make our feelings known.

The LARBC website, which is very informative,  contains a link to a petition which you can sign.

  1. The Livingston Avenue Bridge has been a part of Hudson River's history. If this will be restored and reopened, it would give significant access between Albany and Rensselaer. However, with the age of its foundations, safety to human traffic is in question. A skillful concrete work and rehabilitation of its deteriorating parts are needed to let this bridge stand for a few more decades.
